T.D. Jakes' Let It Go Urges Forgiveness

T.D. Jakes does it again!  His new book, Let It Go, hits a home run!  Poignantly drawing from the concept of forgiveness as a "big idea," Jakes explores how unforgiveness is a learned behavior that can become a cancer of the soul that grows if gone unchecked.  He encourages each of us to perform an "emotional self-examination" to prevent unresolved issues from multiplying.

In his own words, "reading this book may be the most important step you can take right now toward personal healing and professional advancement."  Refuse to let unforgiveness (big or small) stand in between you and your future happiness and success.

“Many of us are caring burdens and stress and un-forgiveness inside of us that we have not been able to expunge out of our experience,” Jakes said. “I wrote ‘Let It Go’ for those of us who need forgiveness and those who can give receive forgiveness.”
Forgiveness, Jakes says, is one of the most difficult areas to deal with.  Particularly, forgiveness in terms of love and relationships. He said far too many marriages end in divorce simply because couples are unwilling to forgive each other.
“If the a couple does not learn to use the same forgiveness that we use toward our children on each other our marriages will not survive,” said Jakes.
“All couples have work to do but we (African Americans) have extra work to do,” Jakes said. “We have to be patient with each other to the point that we can embrace the wholesome idea of happily every after.”
This is a book worth reading.  It can possibly change your life.
