Goma quiet

The Warrior Security office in Goma in Eastern DRC reports that the town is calm following the withdrawal of M23 rebels last Friday.

The anti government militia seized Goma with little resistance, and were met with much celebration from the civilian population - according to Warrior's Business Development Manager Primus Wanga. Primus further reports that life appears to be returning to normal on the streets, with most businesses reopening, including some of the banks.

Warrior guards remained at their posts throughout the ordeal, despite being fired upon by the fleeing Congolese Army.

The town of Bukavu had been the next target for M23 before their withdrawl, and staff in the Warrior sub-office also report that the situation there is stable.
